Fishing Tid Bits How To Fish Part 9
This is going to be my ninth article on fishing tid bits. So far I am getting a great response to these articles. They are meant to have tips that everyone can use. Most of the seasoned anglers might even find a helpful tip or two in these articles. Eventually I plan to hone this and turn it into an eBook so go ahead and take advantage of it now. Make sure you tell your friends and family about the fishing tips articles because all I ask in return is that you go out and enjoy the fine fun of fishing.
Catching Trophy Trout
What's more fun than catching a trophy fish? Not much, then you add the fact that trophy trout can be caught in rivers that no one would expect them to come out of, and catching them becomes that much more exciting. My mentor taught me some of his techniques more than 15 years ago, and they work great for catching trophy trout. This man (my mentor) had more trophy trout mounted than any human being that I've ever seen.
The Best Way To Carry Live Worms
Do you like to fish with live worms? If so, you probably get tired of carrying that bulky container of worms around with you, right? It can be a pain in the butt. And if you're anything like me, I will hike miles up and down a river, fishing the entire time. Crossing the river up to six times in a single fishing trip, and using a lot of worms in the process is not at all uncommon for me. I can easily use two containers of worms in a single fishing trip.
Fishing From A Pontoon Boat
If you've never tried a pontoon boat for fishing, you're missing out. I realize that pontoon boats aren't nearly as fast as most boats, and getting intro some area's can be all but impossible, but the comfort that's provided by a pontoon boat is hard to beat. These ease of movement that pontoon boats offer is a definite advantage top fishing. They're also great for still fishing, such as what one does for catfish or carp.
Oregon Fly Fishing, The High Lakes
Fly fishing the large and small "drive-in" high lakes of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest is an art in itself and good fly-fishing information about a lake is of prime importance to the success of the high lake fly fisher. You need to have a good understanding of the lake bottom, the insect life and the feeding habits and characteristics of the resident trout. Use a depth finder in waters of 12 to 15 feet to look for old river or creek channels, drop offs, and uneven bottom contours that tend to hold fish.
Better Homemade Carp Baits - Flavours and Taste Choices
Flavours are one of the favourite topics of discussion among carp anglers. But some are many times more effective and have literally caught millions more carp than others! Let's take a deeper sniff at irrisistible flavours... Many flavours general effectiveness on different waters differs over the season and in which bait they are used. Probably the biggest variable in using flavours is the best level to use in a bait or bait soak or dip mixture.
Fishing For Trout
You will mainly find trout in rivers rather than lakes but that is not to say you will not find them in lakes at all, its just that given a choice they would prefer the flowing water of a river. The main types of trout found are brown, cutthroat, brook and my favourite the rainbow. Catching a small trout is not that hard, it's catching the big ones where the challenge comes in. Some people prefer fly fishing as a way of catching these fish, others say using a float is best but in the end it's what's best for you.
Fishing Waders
A fisherman's waders can be his best friend or worst enemy. If you've ever had a leak in your waders, you know exactly what I'm talking about. When you first think there's a leak in your waders, you ignore it and hope it goes away, but invariably it doesn't. It's there and has to be dealt with, because there are few things worse than a pair of leaky waders. There are two main materials that waders are made out of, and they are really quite different.
